Please keep in mind, homework should take no more than 20 minutes. If your child works diligently for 20 minutes and does not get it complete, let your child play! A Reading fluency passage with Phonics pattern words on the back and weekly practice pages are sent home each Monday in your child’s daily communication folder.
A typical day’s homework (Monday – Thursday) will look something like this:
- Reading fluency practice (1 minute)
- Phonics practice through reading w/ an adult or independently (5-10 minutes)
- Daily Practice page (5-10 minutes)
